Travelling through the Aurillac Region, wandering at leisure along its paved streets, you are bound to come across one of the 70 churches that consecrate its villages with their distinctive buildings of stone, wood and roofing slates; you will also see, nestling at the end of a path, one of the 70 castles that have marked out the history of the region's populations.
Seventy percent of homes in the Cantal are private houses, and in two thirds of cases, the occupant is also the owner of the house. Housing here is still a valued asset. While people in the region still have a penchant for solid Auvergne-style homes with their lava-stone walls and slate roofs, the housing style has nonetheless diversified and adapted to meet the requirements of modern-day comfort. Over 28% of the houses in the region were built after 1974, in particular in suburban areas.
You can send an 'email alert' concerning the property you are looking for. It will be circulated to a group of estate agents with whom Entreprendre au Pays d’Aurillac has signed a partnership agreement.
